First exploded clutch…now check engine light!

So, my clutch exploded at 2600 miles. Dealer gave me hard time about it, but Mazda ended up covering it under warranty.

The clutch died while shifting from 3 to 4. I explained to the dealer that this shift sometimes would “grind” at high rpm’s. After they replaced the clutch they stated they checked the tranny and nothing was wrong with it.

Today, 200 miles after clutch replacement, I’m entering the freeway and shift from 3 to 4 at ~7500 rpm’s and I hear another nice grind and a moment later the check engine light came flashing on.

While they were replacing the clutch they installed a SR Motorsports 9.75 lb flywheel so I’m a little concerned about the tranny warranty now. Let’s see what happens.

Gomez,

I misstated. It’s the check engine light (CEL). I’ll edit my post.
