Finally!!

Ok so I have been waiting and looking for just the right deal on a new 8, finally got my 8 last night. '09 White GT with . . . 12,700 miles! Got it for a steal, compression tested fine. I have to say I am all smiles today! I will post photos as soon as it is washed, it rained on my drive home last night.

S1 looks are much better.
Butt........

First modifications should be to remove the license plate and that 6 inch Mazda logo off the bumper.

Thanks all! I love it, it will be my daily during the summer months as there is a great windy mostly empty back road between work and home for me to take. My first upgrade will be BHR coils, but that probably won't be until next summer as it has such low miles. For now, I am just going to enjoy it.
Unfortunately CO requires the front plate and I like the Mazda logo! I have been on this site for years so I know all the stuff to keep it running. Have already added 1qt of oil (2 different times of 1/2 qt each). It is actually a learning experience for my son, I make him check it and fill it (with me watching of course) so he can learn about taking care of his first car in a year.

The only issue with is an annoying rattle/squeek when driving it coming from the back somewhere, I will need to track it down. It may be my daughters carseat, but I am the only one who drives it so tracking down a noise from the back while driving will be difficult.

As far as the rattle goes, check the latch that opens/closes the rear windows. Mine will occasionally rattle depending on the outside temperature.

Congrats and it looks very nice. White has recently become one of the best looking colors for a lot of cars, RX8 included (miata club in white is my personal favorite at the moment...and if all goes well will become my "winter" daily driver).

Just out of curiosity what were your compression numbers (if you don't mind of course)? I purchased my series 2 at 25k miles, and am just curious as to how they compare.
