i been thinking these couple days and i want to trade my auto rx8 to MT

today i went to the dealer and he told me he has a black rx8 05
gt package that has 12000 miles on it used. i have 7000 miles on
hmm should it be a fair trade? i guess it all depends on price right?

would anyone kno by any chance how much difference it would be
pricing?

Anyway good luck with that. It's rare to find someone wanting to switch from manual to auto. Most make the switch to manual.

Your best bet is to try and negotiate something with the dealer.

 

I doubt it would turn out fair. The dealer needs profit. They take low trade-in value and sell higher.

Well, considering that an automatic RX-8 is worth $0, I guess you're gonna need about $25k to trade up. j/k

Seriously though, who knows? Maybe the dealer figures that the auto has some worth because most people drive automatics. My advice is to tell the dealer what you want, leave your card, and walk away. Maybe the dealer will accept your offer...
