Cool find spieder!

I learned something today..."The glove compartment light is on all the time while your headlights are on."

I knew that because I installed my satelite radio receiver in the glove box....same as the cigaretter lighter compartment, the light never turns off. kind of a waste, why don't they have them setup like a fridge?

The front seatbelts can be buckled into the rear seatbelt clasp but cannot be unclasped. DO NOT DO THIS.

That's awesome! Next time I'm at the dealer, I'm trying it.

Never knew that all RX-8s came pre-seat heater ready.

Lot's of cool fact (some I already knew, other I didn't) I didn't know that both the steering and throttle were drive by wire!!

I have a couple of questions, can someone explain the following to me:

The Shinka has water-repellent front glass, front door windows and door mirrors. (isn't all glass water repelent?)

The RX-8 clutch pedal height is adjustable. (How?)

I was impressed with 38 - the drive-by-wire. Maybe i'm just technologically inept, but I didn't realize that a system like such existed for throttle.

there are multiple people building renesis engines but each person builds 1 engien beginning to end. it is not one person building every engine as might be assumed by the grammar.

Oh, I thought it was you who built every RENESIS. This is just like finding out there's no Santa Claus!

I think I need to thank the guy who built mine. He deserves to know I enjoy every second my foot is on the accelerator, and it's all because of him!

Haha.

I think the glass has a repellent embedded in it. All glass does not have this repellent.

The wiring for heated mirrors is also prewired so those with base 8s can upgrade to heated side mirrors for $30 a side. (that is retail so it may be less expensive)

Just have to get the glass inserts with the heat elements and hook up the wires to the tabs on the backside of the mirrors.

The elements are activated when the rear heat element is on.

Does it also work when the front defrost setting alone is on?

^No, the mirror defrosters are activated by the rear window defroster switch. They work pretty well, too.

I'm not sure I would classify this as a hidden "feature" of the car. Like several other items on the list it's a bit of a stretch.
