F****ed up stereo??? FML
ALL THE PROBLEMS AT ONCE!!!!!
does anybody know much about the rx8 stereo console?
i removed the oem head unit cuz the display only worked when i hit it so thought a wire was lose....
now that i removed it none of the buttons of the console work.
to make it even better for some reason when i tried to start the car after i removed the stereo the damn car wont start!!!
is this some kind of electrical issue or am i just **** out of luck
so... is the radio F**ucked or fixable and how?
and could it be a safety feature that the car doesnt start? because its not the battery it gets very close to starting but doesnt.

I've heard the rx8's stereo is extremely touchy. I was afraid to fiddle with mine so I trusted mine to columbus car audio to put my ipod unit in (works great).
Might want to call up your local (check their reputation) car audio ppl, or lose out the *** at the dealership

I am having a similar problem with my 2004. (radio only). Basically my radio has worked fine for the most part but a few times in the past two months I have gotten in the car, started it up... and I have no tunes. The FM channel doesn't play. The AM doesn't play. CD doesn't play. etc. Actually I see the CD is supposed to be playing and the seconds going up but I don't hear any sound out of the speakers. No hiss either. The first time I had this problem it suddenly went away. The second time I had the problem I started playing with the radio fuse. I was trying to rip out the fuse but couldn't get it out. Then I started the car and the next thing I know everything is working again.
There is a lose connection somewhere. I just came on here to see if anyone's had the issue before. not too much luck with google.
