Expensive Accessories on Ebay

If yall do a search (new listings) for "RX8" you'll see this dealership selling a lot of RX8 accessories for high a$$ prices. 'Buy it now' for fender strakes is set at $274! I emailed them and told them that they retail for $250 and you can get them for a little under $200. People will do anything to get some extra $$

Yeah but don't forget that there are ignorant people out there who either have too much money, don't bother to research or are just plain stupid.

Did you get a reply? Don't people realize that with the internet you can usually find stuff CHEAPER? Maybe that particular dealership is hoping to find a LAZY rx8 owner, or maybe they're just greedy... or maybe it's both. Well, if they find some poor schmuck to bid on and win those items... more power to em. Must be the only they actually sell any rx8 parts.

Question on the strakes - how are they installed? I was thinking of getting them and installing myself...

Thanks!

Not trying to hijack, but this applies for computer parts also. For the newer stuff on the market you can almost always find it cheaper at online places like Newegg.

And some of us manufacture reproductions for less than half retail...

HEY!!! Strakes are not bling at all, they are a performance mod! Ask anyone who has them on their cars... adds about 10HP

no, unfortunately the law of diminishing returns rears it's ugly head. you'll get about 23.8 hp with a set of 4.

eBay has always been better for sellers than for buyers. Even if an item doesn't get bid up into the stratosphere and sells for a decent price, sellers still make money from "shipping and handling" charges. Some people make a damn good living just from selling stuff on eBay...

So what are you waiting for? Open your seller's account today! :D
