We should throw up a sign to each other. Haha. I think that it would be pretty cool if we could get everyone to do it. I was thinking like 3 fingers, the turned upside down for an M or something like that. This could be awesome. Let me know what ya'll think.

 

I try to wave at all Mazda drivers if they aren't acting/driving rediculously. I'll try to remember the 3 fingers down for the M though and see how people react. Your idea is great if everyone will do it.

 

Just don't flash some signs in the wrong parts of town... You might end up getting shot.... Or initiated into a gang...

I was driving next to a MS6 for a while yesterday and the guy never looked over. WTF?

 

Yeah, everyone should do the M. That'd be so awesome if we could everyone doing it. Even just the people on this forum cause then you'd know they are in the club.

I always see 8's and other mazdas when i'm NOT in my 8.. like when im riding my bike.. try rolling up to an 8 at a light and trying to get the guy to put the window down so you can tell him your OTHER ride is an 8 :o

when i see another 8 i usually blink my lights or pull in front and put the hazzard lights on. if we at a full stop i just roll my window and say: Nice car!

 

If I see an 8, I always wave. But, I'm never sure if folks in the other Mazdas (besides Miatas) would have a clue why I'm waving at them.

I would stick to waving at RX-8s. Most Mazda drivers that I see are not car enthusiasts.

 

Miata drivers have been waving at each other for over 15 years. A waggle of the pop-up headlights was also a traditional Miata greeting to another Miata. I don't think, however, that I'll attempt any upside-down 3 finger salute...

 

I agree with you on this one! There are way too many 323/3s, 626/6s, Millenias, etc. for them to care enough to pay attention to us or wave back. Basically a lot of basic people movers (although people movers with tendencies to be fun). The Miata/MX-5, and RX-7 crowd might be more open to it. Possibly even the overall Mazdaspeed versions of all the cars might be too!

 

when you are in front of someone and put your hazzards on, it usually indicates wanting to race. lol.

I always try to get next to them or something and if I see a single mod to their car, I will wave.

I have noticed that the ones who have mods are more likely to wave back. (well, at least out where I live)

 

i know but i do that to bring attention. i wouldnt wave a miatas tho. or any other mazda, exept for the RX7s thats cause we share something in common.

 

I usually wave at other 8s. Today on the way home from the gym a titanium 8 passed me as i was pulling out into traffic and I eventually caught up to him and just smiled at him and his daughter as I drove past.

 

I think it would be hilarious to see people throwing up Mazda "gang signs".

Try crossing your middle and ring fingers (a' la west-side, east-side), LOL.

The look on the uninitiated's faces would be priceless.
