Usually they only insure mods if you declared them before the accident (and paid extra premium for it as well).
Seeing the damage, I think you're better off that the car is totalled and you get a check than fixing it... but I feel the pain. I would be devastated if that happened to mine.

 

So the insurance company called today and let us know how much we are getting back. After everything, we got $750 plus what we payed for the car out the door including tax etc. also $5000 that I spent on mods for the car. I have already gave $2500 of the $5000 I am getting back to my parents to pay for whatever additional insurance charges I am going to get for my accident.

We definatly lucked out by getting not only more than what we payed for the car, but also, myself getting all my money for my mods.

Glad you're ok man. I am very impressed with how the car protected you. I have been in some nasty accidents over the years, and seen a few more first hand. It can scare the hell out of you for a while.
Also impressed that it took until the second page for someone to mention that it was silver, and the third page before the "curse" was brought up again.
