Engine Replacement

I've been doing a lot of research since my RX8 went into the shop about three weeks ago.

It took a long time for them to diagnose the problem and Mazda has finally decided to replace the engine. It only has 31,000 miles .

I do not want to trade my car when I get it back, but I live in a very hot climate and I am afraid that if I keep it that I'll have the same problem in another 30,000 miles or so... And then it wouldn't be under warranty.

Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I'm iin the same boat as you are. Mine is in getting a new engine right now. It has 33,000 miles on it.
Something you can do is get a better radiator for the car. There are a few aftermarket ones out there. Just check out the vendors section. A couple of the guy's have gotten them and say they improve the cooling system.

also do a nice 5w30 synthetic oil.

in your case, run 100% distilled water with water wetter.

I would also invest in the racing beat pod so you can keep an eye on the temps.
