Hi Just bought a RX8 on a 04 plate. The engine sounds a bit tapperty is this normal ??

I Also Have An 04 Rx8 With Over 15,000 Dollars Done In Warranty Work. However The Noise I Had Was A Faint Squeel And It Ended Up Being A Cluch Bearing. Dont Know If That Will Help You Any.

We don't have valves so we are confused.

The rotary makes unique sounds. I'm sure it's normal. Find a club member in the area and ask them or go to dealer and have mechanic come out and explain the rotary noises that are normal.
