Electrical power loss?

I happened some time ago, but now I'm kind of wondering if someone has experienced the same thing. I pushed my car up to around 9000+ rpm, before the cut off, when i shift to the second gear, the tachometer drop down to 4k rpm really fast, then go back up really quick to around 6k. It was almost like losing electrical power about 1 second. no anomaly with the engine, it's just the tach. Sometimes my odometer trip get reset by itself too, and it happened a couple times. I just don't know why it's happening. I just replaced my battery about 1-2 months ago btw.

Might be a good idea to repeat the procedure at least a couple times. Does sound like something not right. It could happen when you least expect it and it could get ugly fast.

it only happened about 2-3 times, and it only happened when i pushed it near the cut off rpm, no strange behavior with the engine. but the odometer thing happened quite often, even under normal driving.

The negative battery connector sucks on the 8. it could not be making a great connection. I would take it off and refit it tighter to the post
