Electric Rx7

Hello to all, it has been awhile since I have been here. We have finished both of our 88verts , one with a chev 4.3 and the other with a 351 win. They are both awsome. We have a new project now that we are going to try, a first gen and make it electric. We are open for any and all info that you have to offer, so please reply here , thanks.

You should build it like a bumper car so it has to draw it's power from an overhead grid.

But wouldn't it be cool if all cars were built like bumper cars? Everyone would be cruising around throwing sparks from the overhead grid, and accidents wouldn't be bad because all the cars would be surrounded by a giant tire.

Check out these bumper cars at at Disney Quest in Orlando. You actually have a driver and a gunner! You get to scoop up "cannon *****" and shoot them at other players. Not sure how it is scored, but my friends said that it was awesome...

I thought this was about powering the 7 with electricity, not gasoline. There goes 10 seconds of my life.

If they attach the RX7 to an overhead grid, it would be run by electricity!

Check AC propulsion http://www.acpropulsion.com/ . They are the company that makes the equipment for the Tesla. I will be doing this to a Miata eventually when their system comes down in price.

If you convert it into an RX8 you'll be posting in the right place.

Hey, a lot of cities already have the grid in place for electric buses. Then again, poor dudes have to stop about every 3 blocks to reset the cable when it jumps off. Hmm...maybe a hot rail in the asphault?

We use systems from Power Invertors for our Mining Trucks. About 10 times the price, about 50 times the power.

I'm working on a new ultra high torque motor with no gear reduction - straight 1:1 drive ratio - on a truck that has a load capacity of 500 tons.
