CA El Mirage Lake in San Bernardino

Do you guys think is possible to take your car to El Mirage lake and maybe race the **** out of it, just for fun without any speed limits? Are there cops in there waiting to catch adrenaline junkies, or is the area closed off? I mean, that's where they do all the speed records for the rocket cars, and all the car commercials with the drifting in the sand and the hot chicks, and stuff.

Not from Cali, but I'd be willing to bet that it's a national or state park and would be off limits. Not only would the fine be sky high, you'd probably end up in Jail. I'd check with the local authorities. They'll have your answers.

Speed records are at the Bonneville Salt Flats btw.

It's BLM land, you can go on for a modest fee, and most of the time there's no speed limit on the lakebed.

Have fun. Take pictures and tell us about it.

Not to mention the embedded dirt that will never come out, no matter how many times he washes it.

But it could be fun. And that's what a performance car is about.
