eggs and paint
so the other day i woke up with an uneasy feeling at about 2:30am, i decided to go check on my rx8. As i approached the passanger side i noticed 3 eggs smashed against the door, i cleaded the yolk and eggshell off the best i could but paint damage had already been done. Does anyone know if the warranty will cover this?

I doubt it, but worth a try. I had something similar happen to me a week ago. One morning I go outside to greet Melissa, and there's egg all over her ***. I naturally assumed it was a bird's egg out of the tree I was parked under, because the part egg shell that was still sticking to the car was very thick, about 2-4 mm. But after cleaning the egg off I found the point of impact. The little hairline marks in a small circular orientation gave it away, underneath where "Mazda" is embolden on the rear left butt-cheek. I surmise some kids were having fun with these eggs and my sweet Melissa suffered.
THIS CANNOT STAND! I will have my revenge, and reclaim her honour.

If you have comprhensive insurance it may be covered under that. Depending on how badly the paint is etched a shop may be able to buff it out and hit it with some clear coat.

Uh, no, vandalism isn't covered under any warranty because it's not a defect of materials or workmanship.
Generally speaking, if your car isn't moving and it's not another car that did the damage, it's a comprehensive claim with your insurance.

I'd kill the f--kers who did this. Even in my worst days as a kid I'd never imagine vandalizing a car or someones personal property, EVEN those a-holes who would double park their precious cars (still a pet peeve!).

at least they didn't go after it with a nail, you can't buff that out! I just heard from a friend today who bought a new car less than a month ago and someone keyed it all down one side. People that do that deserve to get run over by a train.
I doubt kids know that eggs are bad for your paint though.

sorry to hear that deuce, it really sucks
it could be worse though, much worse.
I suggest you becareful in the future because jealousy is a bitch, they might come back for you again, and key your car or something. you can never be too careful

thanks guys, i didn't think the warranty would cover it but it was worth a shot, unfortunatly my deductable for my insurance would be more then the cost to repair it, so it looks like i'll be digging into the pockets.
