E-10 Gas

I just filled my empty tank with E-10 Premium gas and the engine seems to be running okay. Anyone hqaqve any adverse experience with a 10% Ethanol Blend?
Thx

Oregon went to e10 year around this year. Here is a thread I started with some discussion about e10.

you should expect around a 4% loss in fuel economy.

I stick with stations selling real fuel, but it's becoming increasingly difficult.

Everything except premium is E-10 here in WI, and even that is becoming scarce.

They want to do 20% next. That's going to start screwing with our mileage to the point more people will notice. So in exchange for this, we pay for fuel twice (once at the pump, and again via taxes due to subsidies), the fuel we get is subpar and costs more, while giving us less bang for the buck, and the fuel is making our food prices rise (due to it's typical use as feed driving up livestock).

great friggin' deal. And it's not more environmentally friendly either.

I think my car runs considerably worse on 10% ethanol. Not just MPG, but loss of of some of the smoothy silkiness of the rotary.

ethanol is in all of our gas except premium here. It has been this way for about 3 or 4 years now. Its because there are 40 billion ethanol plants around here.

This crap is now everywhere here in SE FL
I haven't seen a single station yet that sells regular fuel.
Car runs much worse on it too. Yesterday I filled a tank (at a BP) and it run so crappy, that I had no choice but to dump in a half a bottle of octane booster to get the motor to smooth out a little.

I am glad to hear it is not just me. My engine sounds kind of bad at high RPM now. It is VERY aggravating.

i have not seen ethanol in 91 or above octane. however, I know a couple of guys that tune there car for E85. Its a higher octane gas but takes alot of work to get your car to run it proporly if it was not designed for it .

CNN linked to this article about E10 gas being a problem on older cars but I don't know how accurate these statements are and if it would apply to the RX8.....

First of all, Presidents put all there assets into a trust that is administered by other so there isn't any conflict of interest.
Second, every person that has a retirement fund is part owner in an oil company. Guess what, you own a oil company too. If for some reason, one of your funds or your pension isn't invested in an oil company, they are stupid and loosing you money.

The Go Green or Else mandates are in full swing. E10 has been around for along time but now will be the gas for us all. It is absolutely criminal.

Also, just cuz its on the internet doesnt mean its factual. The only facts on the internet are on Wikipedia.
