DVD navigaton hack?

O.K. Ive seen reference to it but lets make a dedicated thread here. How can you make the dvd nav play regular dvd's? does it require a seperate player? I looked at the back of the dvd rom thing in the back and saw that it was hard wired with mazda connectors. I had hoped for rca plugs or something but no luck. I suppose the audio would have to be spliced as well? Anyone done this? I don't want the link to the 350z site that has a tv tuner etc. P.S. yes I know its illegal but...

there is a thread dedicated for this matter. do a seaarch.

no you can't play a dvd movie in the nav system.

yes you will need to somehow plug a separated device to play movies. (for now) some of us are working on it. I myself have stoped since i am returning the car (althought its not done until they send the check, i was told i can change my mind til then)
