driving hard w/o breaking in

i'm just curious.

what exactly will happen if you drive really hard without proper break in?

will this also apply to piston engines too?

Try a search. There are tons of threads regarding the break in period.

The break in of a rotary is very different from that of a break in of a piston engine, so all the proceses mentioned here only apply to rotary engines.
