Drive with foglights on/off?

Just curious as to what yall drive with at night, foglights on or off? I do both but am trying to decide how it looks since normals are xenon and fogs are not, unluckily i cant see what my car looks like from the front while driving, any thoughts?

In may places it's illegal to drive w/ the foglights on, unless there is fog.

I only turn them on when there is rain or fog. I don't see a point to leaving them on after my last car had one of the lights run out and I had to replace it . Save me some headache.

I always have mine on.

Not because I need to see better but for those soccer moms in their Porsche SUV's who are applying make-up while yelling at the kids, changing radio stations, AND talking on their cell phone.
Helps them see me better...

They aren't fog lights. They are 'driving lights'.

I have the same problem. There's supposed to be some bulbs that match a little better but I'm too lazy to search and I think they're pretty expensive.

If it ain't foggy, you don't need the fog lights on!!!!!!!!!!

The question was using fog lights AT NIGHT - I would assume you have the headlights on already for night driving.

Now that something like 75% of vehicles have "fog lights", it's not special or cool to have them, so driving with them on when it's not foggy just makes someone look like a dork. It's especially funny when you see a car driving with the rear fog light on in clear conditions - then you KNOW they're just posers who think it's cool to drive with fog lights on, and they don't even know they have a rear fog light, don't know that the rear fog light is on, and don't know that it's illegal to use the rear fog light when visibility isn't restricted (ie fog or rain or heavy snow)!

On all the time, taking the place of DRL's that we don't get in the US.

I removed my "fog lights" when I installed my Mazdaspeed front end, looks better without them.

Did you think about using one under the hood? That way you have a nice iilluminated dip stick to find at night

But is it possible to keep your fog lights with the mazdaspeed bumper?

I keep 'em on on the a-little-more-conspicuosity-can't-hurt premise. Clearly influenced by motorcycling. Nothing could be of less interest to me than if people think I look like a "dork" or "poser".

Yep, there is a mounting kit you can order through Mazda. I'm sure you can get it elsewhere, but it looks awful clean without them.

Leave them off!

I hate having oncoming cars with lights in my eyes. I like the HIDs because they stay low (even though a little voice says it an arc welder, avert your eyes!).

The driving lights do not!

Hard enough to keep your night vision w/ lifted trucks...

Now give me a good reason to keep them on. Having a grey, and folks not seeing me on a regular basis, might be getting there.

Yeah, I suppose. I searched for some Mazdaspeeds w/ fog lights, can't say they looked as good, they kinda ruin the 'gaps' on the front, degrading its stylish bodykit look.

Raptor - check out the pics I posted in the Louisiana thread in the Gulf regions. I have MS replica w/the fogs and I think they look good.

I voted yes, I have my fogs on at night. Actually, I have them on all the time since I did the re-wire mod. They don't serve a purpose for me, but for others to see me. All too often I see cars on the road - but barely. I could see them much better if they had lights on. (ahem silvers)

I've seen pictures of your 8, it looks real nice. I just think it has a much cleaner appearance without them. I'll take pics this weekend.

Eh...I dunno. You can say the mazdaspeed looks 'slightly' cleaner and more sporty-looking without them, but having them on at night is a bonus. And it's not like they're terribly noticeable during the day, according to pics I've seen with them on.
