Done and Done!
Well this past friday, I finally did it, I placed my order for the RX-8 :D .
I dont know how many people actually care, but I have seen plenty of other proclamations, so I thought I'd follow suit.
After all the hassle of New Jersey dealers I said screw it and went someplace else, like PA. I fell on an excellent dealership in Easton that ordered the exact car I wanted in the first allocation. $500 refundable deposit and recipt in hand I walked out of the dealership with my RX-8 on paper.
I can officially get excited now. :D
That is all, carry on. hehehe

tallguylehigh -- Congrats! I also ordered the titanium and I think you will find it to be awesome in person. I just returned from Detroit and I think you previously mentioned a concern with room for taller drivers. I am 6'2" and 275lbs. -- not exactly a Formula 1 sized driver! The car was snug but not too small. If you can fit in the Mazda 6 you should be OK in the RX-8. The car is much smaller in person than it looks in the pics. Looks great in person -- there were 4X as many people gawking at the RX as were at the 350Z. I could sit the in back seat fairly comfortably if the front seats were all the way forward.
The RX-8 was obviously my first stop at the show and at first I was concered it was too small -- was probably taken-in by the "its a sports sedan not a 350Z competitor" talk. Believe me -- this is no sports sedan -- this is a sports car. I went around and sat in all of the other hot cars (350Z, G35 coupe, M3, boxster, etc, etc.) After this change in frame of reference it was easy to see that the RX-8 had decent space and more than the other "competitors". Much more comfortable for me to sit in than the 350Z -- the seats were more comfortable and car was easier to enter/exit. The trunk was much larger than I expected!

Haha, all this anticipation remind me of what all the Z owners (including myself) went through on our long wait. Have fun waiting; it should be worth it.
