I was just wondering because I notice my new car uses about 1 qt per 3k while my old one uses 1/2 qt per 3k miles.

NO< Thats what I have noticed but am not sure it is correct...

 

I haven't noticed any sizable consumption in my 8 versus the 7 which ate a quart/3K or so... They seem pretty close to me.

 

I may need to check my oil metering pump on my 7 and make some adjustments

 

Mine uses much less than my previous Rotary's. So far I have added about a 3/4 of a quart at 3000 then changed it.

I hear it very dependant on how hard you drive it. Putt around at low revs and it will not use much. Race it for a few hours (revs constantly between 5000 - 9000) and it will go through a quart in a few hundred miles.
