Display Trim piece removal

I'm not quite sure what it's called but I've got a picture to show ya'll

anyways I want to know if the trim can be removed. It feels like it can, I just don't want to break it off and find out. Anyways I've been painting a bunch of interior trim pieces with some awesome metallic blue speckle plastic paint. I would also like to take off this trim and make it this glossy speckled winning blue. So far I've done different accents in the car and it looks badass. This weekend I'm going to try and disassemble the center console. Does anyone know if those plastic trim pieces (these: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=1#post2595325) can be removed without taking out the entire center console? I also want to do them in blue.

I also did all my engine bay covers (engine cover, batt cover, air box). It looks really bad ***. Ill post a thread when I get more pictures.

I'm just doing it in this color and it's looking really good. The original owner did the handle and shift trims in straight winning blue (but with no luster). All the trim pieces I've done honestly look better, but don't look out of place next to the previous blue trim. The blues are really, really close. I'd recommend this blue to WB and possibly PB. In the sunlight at noon it seriously matched my paint job almost exactly on the engine cover and whatnot.

here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Specks-P.../dp/B00098POAY

Btw the color and finish of the blue is nothing like what the cap looks like (for me at least...and I'm a graphic artist so I'd hope I'm not color blind). I was kinda afraid initially based on how matte the cap finish looks, but the actual spray is badass.

Yea, Im painting all the silver pieces black and the silver piece around the shift boot is red. Its gonna look sweet I think. I didnt want too much red, wanted to keep the interior as clean as possible, anyways back on topic, who knows how to remove that piece

I'll have the engine bay and more pics in the future. I was thinkin about doing a DIY...but it's kinda common sense. should I?

Btw my car was and still is really dirty (im at work lol). But oh well...its not overwhelmingly dirty.

How do you get the air vent pieces out? I am guessing they just pop out using a small flat head screwdriver wrapped in cloth?

Thank you,

Brian

Hmmm..I didn't want to go as far as you guys, but now I'm debating it. I did my interior line.. it's in my blog (EDIT: can't put pictures up from my blog! Lame!)

Blog post is here if you wanted to see the process. But I may just do what you guys are up to. I was thinking of just doing the door trim and radio.

Are you looking for the Cluster Panel?

Try Number 11 The body, I believe it goes into interior parts
