Yea, just did it with mine... got the switchblade remote and key blank new off ebay for $37 shipped pm me if you want the link to the ebay listing... FCC ID probably wont be the same as your regular 04 remote mine wasn't but it works fine and got the key cut at home depot for free. As long as you have two original keys you can program your new one very easily.

'05 with the switchblade, that BROKE. It wont retract :( I even took it to the dealership and they didn't know why it wouldnt retract... So i've got this huge key in my pocket now.

Sounds like something got wedged in it. I would take it apart and try re-setting the "blade" portion in place. Can't hurt... Worst case scenario: you've got a blade that won't retract. (Still)

I would love to have the Keyless Start system! Retrofitting would be wayyy too much of a hassle. And I'm an electronics guy. I think I'll order a switchblade in 2011. :-)

hate to revive this thread, but it seems like the right one for the question.

I have an 07 with the keyless start. It has the little plastic piece that goes over the ignition key hole - what is this piece called? It broke so now i have to put the key in everytime, cant seem to find what its called or find it for sale anywhere

thanks
