while driving, has anyone seen a red "rotor housing" light come on? i have seen this several times over the past two years. it does not stay on and the engine does not feel any different or no loss of power.
any suggestions?

Perhaps you should take a look to see what the light is officially called, and we can go from there:
This is in your owner's manual too, and if you don't have that you can get a free PDF of your owner's manual from MazdaUSA.com.

i didn't know how to describe it, but after doing more searches and seeing the picture above in another website and the one above, it is the coolant level warning light. the description of it looking like a capitol building nailed it for me.
i bought my car in '04 new and will flush the coolant soon. my car has a little over 22k miles. no, it's not my daily driver.
thnx for the responses though.

If your coolant level is actually fine, then it is just a faulty coolant level sensor in the bottle. Requires replacing the entire bottle. Cheapest option is from Mazmart at $125 plus shipping.
Otherwise, your coolant level itself needs to be corrected.

since the coolant has never been flushed and nothing has ever been added, i'm going to take it to my dealer and let them flush it. i've had the car for 8 yrs and it's well due for a change. it's not running hot, but this should fix the issue. i'll ask if there was a TSB on it when i take it in.
thnx again for the information/responses.

The list of known TSBs is here on the site, you can chek that list for anything ahead of time. It won't matter though, because you are out of the bumper to bumper, so all a TSB will tell the dealership is what to fix, not that it will be fixed for free. You will get charged for it.
The cooling system should be flushed at least every 2 years, if not every year. It isn't a mileage thing, but a time thing due to rust. Flushing is easily done at home, and can save you quite a bit of money.
If the dealer just diagnosis a coolant bottle level sensor failure, you will be looking at a bill of about $600-$800 to replace it. Diagnosis doesn't require anything complicated. If the light comes on with the level sufficiently high, it's the sensor. Replacement is relatively easy and parts are only $125 + shipping.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
I'm having the same problem with mine. Before, the coolant warning light is showing for a short time, and goes away after that. Now, the coolant light is on all the time, and is not going away. I checked the coolant inside the coolant bottle and its still full, and no leaks at all. I already know the problem is the coolant sensor. I don't mind having it on all the time and looking at it all the time when i'm driving, all i'm worried about is if it leaks, but so far, no leaks at all. I'm still checking the coolant level once a week or so.

I am getting a red flashing (and beeping) car light on the left circle, near the right bottom, there is no "key" in the red flashing car light. When I shut the door it the car multiple beeps and also when I lock it it multiple beeps. Possible issue with my key? the fob has not worked well since the get go.....any thoughts? I do not have an owners manual...
