Damage to my front bumper
Was in a 2 lane highway after splitting from a 4 lane. A pathfinder in front of me, a truck on my right and a bmw behind me (so I'm semi boxed in). As I slightly close up on the pathfinder to pass, I see that the pathfinder's front left wheel hits a metal bar (around 2-3" long) then his back wheel runs over it and causes it to fly. In the 1 second I had, I had no other option and all I did was slightly swirve to the right and hear a "CLONK". Fearing the worst, I got off my exit and stopped the car. !!!!!!!!!!! The cooler/fog light was not hurt, but my whole left side of the top bumper scratched/scuffed.
I get back home and take a better look, and saw that the clear bra did its job and protected it, but as I looked further up where the bumper and the wheel fender gap meets, the paint is slightly chipped . So pissed!! But nothing I can do, but slightly/carefully touch it up. *sniff* And I was gonna go meet up this weekend too, but now looking like this *sniff*

That sucks man. Glad that nobody got hurt with all the swerving and debris flying. The damage doesn't look too bad though; you should check out what happened to the bumper on the car I ordered while it was being shipped here https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...2&page=2&pp=15. Still haven't decided if I'm going to take it. Everytime I look at it, it makes me want to punch something.

Ouch AndyV.....one word: "extortion". Get as much $$$ from them. I think it was a sign to come, because the day before was on my accord and I saw the bottom part of those big orange/white cones on the ground. Went underneath the first one, but the second one was on the right side of the lane and I had no way to avoid it with the "exceptional" handling of the accord and ran it over (luckly it had nothing underneath it). Oh and after I got hit, like a couple of feet, I saw another junk of metal that was the size of a box....but I don't think that is the worse object in the road I've seen. Try a queen size mattress in the middle of the road with a shopping cart and 50 bounty paper towels on a 2 lane bridge - fun! (all you hear is "POP"....gotta love NYC)
