so im driving home tonight and a racoon runs in front of me long story short the front lip is half gone and the black splash guard underneath the car is pretty much destroyed anyone have any idea how much this might cost to repair?

Itll cost what your insurance deductible is. In my wife's mazda 3 she got a little dent in it from a stray dog and it was a little over $1000 to get it repaired if the insurance hadn't covered it. And it sounds like your damage is worse.

I'm guessing your asking because you don't want to go through insurance. Depending on the damage your deductible may be cheaper but give these guys a call if your looking to pay out of pocket.

lots of insurance companies handle you hitting an animal with a different deductible that hitting another car so you might want to check.

I have nationwide and I hit a deer last year in my Cobalt and I had to pay a $50 deductible (compared to $500 if I had hit a car) and they covered the rest and it didn't add to my overall yearly costs for insurance.

I hit a tire in the road which took out part of my splash guard and it was $300 to replace all of it.
There are 3 pieces to it and 3 pieces needed to be replaced with my car.

I hit a dog that took out the bumper, splash guard, oil cooler, headlight, and foglight and it ran the insurance company about $5grand, plus $500 for a rental. I paid out my $500 deductible and pressed on. I had it fixed at a dealer, so it was a little more than a normal body shop.

As long as its just the lip and the splash guard and you're sure it didn't puncture your A/C condenser. Maybe $500-600 if you DIY

so here are the pics, I got an estimate today 764 dollars as long as nothing else is broke under the bumper once they get it off.
