the only complaint I have is when the sunroof is open there is a slight rattle, cant exactly pinpoint it either,,,mostly cause Im the one drivin and cant really look around the cab to find it...well two and this, Idont think, is very common, the covering on my steering wheel is startin to wear through, but I have had it for 4 years and 70K miles...

I have an '07 GT and I absolutely hate rattles and such. The car is put together extremely well. My car developed a few rattles in the door and rear glass but the dealer took care of it. My car has been problem free.

Some of us in the Houston drive pretty spirited. One guy in particular drives everyday like its WRC. His car has right at 100k and doesn't rattle or anything either.

If you get the car for the love of god autocross it. Its about the only place you can get this car to truly shine.

Ugh. We have a 2006 Passat, and the interior is absolute rubbish. There are so many ways VW cheapened it, I can't begin to tell you. And tons of rattles, too.

My 8 is one fantastic. After 3 years, no rattles, squeaks, broken anything, and materials are well made and the panels all fit together nicely.

I like Nissans, but think the interior of the 350Z is one its weakest points, even after Nissan improved it. It just feels cheap all over.

I am fully satisfied with the interior of my 8.

i have a few rattles here in there after 2 1/2 years of ownership. but i think most of them developed when i took it off-road.. twice. lol.

I recently bought an 04 with 19k miles. Now at 25k, I've had to replace the gasket in the rear passenger headlight. That;s it. Interior style is impressive, but rattles absolutely kill me. Since its used and out of warranty, I'm pretty much screwed. So MAKE SURE to take care of rattles ASAP under warranty and your drive will be much more enjoyable.

There's a TSB for the sunroof rattle but I don't know if the stealership will fix it for free for you...

25k... I don't think you're out of warranty anymore.

I drive a few cars daily and I'd say the rx8 is one of the best put together, the only one I feel has better craftmanship is my sisters Mini One :eyetwitch and yes it hurts to say that

the audi I drive is 2years old but the interior is falling apart however my 4year old 8 has held together very well.

I feel the 8 is well put together, but also simple to work on should something go wrong or should you want to change anything :) Another sign of the good build quality is the lack of razor sharp edges on the "hidden metal" under the bonnet, I know that Nissan do not have these edges blunted (I work in engineering!) so I was surprised to see that Mazda don't have the same problem :)
