Guess what car won the coolest car award for the class of '05 at my school this year!!? OF COURSE THE RX-8 that i am so lucky to own :D! Beat out many other sweet cars i might add such as: '03 VW GTI, '04 Pontiac Firebird, '04 Chevrolet Corvette Zo6, a very fast 3000GT, plus other bmw's, and such..... a 2004 audi s4 won the female best car.......

......just letting everyone know that the RX-8 is still winning awards! even if it IS only a high school yearbook award hahah.

i live in orange county and i drive my 8 to highschool everyday. im not some uber rich kid, but there are a lot out there.

dam wish i had a rx8 when i was in high school..all i had was a 94 sentra....dam i was just glad i had a car..haha congrats youngin!

 

Actually, I have a cousin that happens to live in an OC-ish area down in SoCal. RX-8s are nothing. Not even Beamers and Escalades either. There's a kid at my cousin's school who drives a Bentley...

Someone I knew in HS (yes, I went to HS in the OC) drove a new Infiniti Q45. His parents got it for him and he didn't want it so later they bought him a Corvette. :-/ Disgusting ain't it? Frequently people there had nice cars or if they'd crash their brand new car, they'd get a new one with out much problems.

There's a lot of spoiled kids in the OC.

 

Back in HS, we had a kid with a Vette AND an ML55 AMG...I wasn't even in the OC...I guess it was on the west coast...of Florida, but it definitely wasn't the OC.

 

The nicest car when I was in HS was my RX8.

Granted, I got it as a graduation gift, and I only had a week to show it off.... :D

I made alot of enemies because I have an RX8... I took my car to my grad ceremony and I got so many stares from all the girls, and so many dirty looks from all the guys.

Of course, that was my intention. It was a big "**** YOU" to everyone in my school who thoght they were the ****.

 

I've been to a lot of places, and yeah west coast kids can be rich, but I've never seen anything like Naples, Florida where I lived for a short time. These are where billionaires retire on the gulf coast of Florida, and their 16 year old kids are literally in line to receive multi million dollar-a-year trust fund payments for the rest of their lives. My mother teaches at one of the private schools there, and the CHEAPEST car I've seen in that lot was an Audi S4....thats probably the poor kid that gets made fun of....all I ever saw in the "student parking lot" was Hummer H2's, H1's, M3's, Carrera 4S's, AMG Benz's, and one 355 Berlinetta driven by the grandson of the Palmolive heir. HA.

Although there was a lotta weird categories. Sexiest car award went to the M3... WAT???

and yes i get the pic in the yearbook! haha so i can look back on it forever...

the kid with the Zo6, his grandfather bought him the car (owns the city water company) .... that same grandfather bought the girl the audi s4 that won too! on a little side note: the kid just wrecked his corvette. spun it, flipped it, totaled it. unbelievable right? he's ok gladly! but damn, talk about a wake up call!

haha and the audi girl didn't even know her car was fast til i told her. she doesn't deserve that car! lol :p

 

This sounds like that Sweet 16 show on MTV. In highschool I drove a 1981 Oldsmobile Omega. Paid 500 bucks for it. Sweet ride!!

 

Hey, it's no C&D top ten or JD Power but cool nonetheless.

BTW, the only mode of transportation in HS I had was an old wore out pair of hand-me-down Reeboks...

 

Ah, my first Oldsmobile. Brings back memories.
