What is listed?? The beloved RX-7

Mazda RX-7 (1993 - 1996)

The third-generation of the RX-7 represented the pinnacle of Mazda's prowess in turbocharging the Wankel rotary engine. The 255-horsepower 13B-REW mill was supremely tunable, and powered a road-racing-capable chassis—evidenced by its impressive showings in factory-backed endurance competition and grassroots events like the SCCA Runoffs.

The RX-7 has grown into a cult classic, which translates into a happy existence in the hereafter via aftermarket upgrades. Market trends away from high-ticket sports cars and toward SUVs put the seductively styled coupe out to pasture.

It facinates me how that RX7 still looks sexy 10 years later. Just as in 2014 the RX8 will still look modern. Mazda does such a good job with the design of these cars.

That's an RE-Amemiya front bumper not a "99spec bumber", C-West flush headlights and some sort of Volks. Not a fan of the C-West headlights, stickers, hood, wing, and mirror. Don't diss the Amemiya front bumper though . I think the RX7's will age much much better than the RX8.

Om nom nom nom... Pretty kick *** for a car that came out in 1992 (as a 93 in US at least). 15+ years

RX 7's are all handsome vehicles, pretty much setting the standard for import sports cars at their times of existence. Personally, I find the RX 8 more attractive, but that's just my opinion.

As much as I love my 8, I don't think it's in the same league with the 3rd gen RX-7, looks-wise. That's one of the nicest looking cars of all time.

based on looks, you cant compare the two. the 7 is a classic now, and the 8 is current hottness

Amazing how a car that old can still look so hawt.

I wish you could say the same about the early 90's Camaro or Firebird.

Hideous much?

I don't remember this car being road raced much. Last year, despite being a underdog, it did take a 2nd or 3rd at the Runoffs in GT1.

[sob_story]

When I was a wee child, my brothers were in love with Porsches, therefore, I was in love with Porsches. They outgrew their love by the mid 80's. I did not.

1989 my mom buys an RX-7. I loved it becaue it looked better than the Porsches, and it was actually parked in our garage, not just a picture on a wall. My love of RX-7's began there, at the age of 7.

1993 the FD is released. Simply beautiful. I want one. It becomes my dream car.

13 years later, I'm finally done with school, finally moved out, finally financially secure, and I've got a paid off reliable daily driver...
...I buy a high mileage, tired, dying, but bone-stock FD as a project car.

16 days later, a stretch H2 limo decides to crush my daily driver into juice, nearly killing me in the process. The driver of the limo somehow gets away, and my insurance gives me a pathetic $4000 for my totaled car.

15 days after the accident, I'm forced to trade in my FD for a Mitsubishi Galant.

[/sob story]

The 8's holding me over for now.
But one day, I will have my FD...

...oh yes - she will be mine.

Never understood the rear window wiper on any sports car.

actually without the twin turbos, the 13b REW makes mediocre power compared to the current Renesis.
