I also like SCOSCAN. But I like the one above better.

File under the "remote" category:

CAN of Whoop-***

"Hmm something seems wrong with the engine. let me just turn on the CAN of Whoop-*** and see what the problem is"

Somewhat more realistic:

H&S CAN Data Acquisition Module
or optionally, the Hymee CAN-DAM unit
Module might be replaced with Logger, because CAN-DAL (like candle) might sound better in familiar use
Also if with development the tool gains piggyback capability, Acquisition can be replaced or complemented by "Assistant"

You lot crack me up :D (Aussie for ROFL)

Seriously... the name does *not* have to contain either sco or Hymee... don't limit yourselves to this. Our heads aren't that big that the product has to contain our names.

It wouldn't be appropriate for me to comment on whether or not we think we have a winner yet. Like I said before... there are some good ones, some not so good ones and some downright hilarious ones. There's plenty of opportunity to think of the winning name... it ain't over 'til it's over.

Ha ha

That suggests to me following on from that great Australian spray can icon, recommended for recalcitrant lawn mowers, bore pumps and anything powered by Briggs & Stratton, the green and gold can of "Startyabastard"

Scanyabastard? ! :D Logyabastard ! :D

SCO'n'scan
Hymee EnSCANced

Attention: off topic

sco, for some time, I have been thinking about developing a code debugger and calling it "Runyabastard", but then one of my colleagues says he regularly calls Microsoft's tool "Debugyabastard"

Attention: heading back on topic:

Having considered the tool you guys are developing, the demographic of the market, the go to market strategy and medium you will use to market the tool, the most obvious name for the product is.......

"Jennifer Hawkins totally butt-naked in an RX-8"

:D :D :p
