I just read a news blip in the automotive section of my local paper today saying that Mazda plans to introduce the Japan version of the 8 to the US in approx 18 months. Other than mentioning six ports instead of four no details were provided. Anyone have any details??

 

The 6 speed manual is a 6 port. I'm pretty sure that the 6 port automatic 6 speed is also out already, if not coming soon (sooner than a year and a half).

Other than that, I doubt any JDM car is coming here. Their emissions standards are way different, and that is the only difference between the engines.
