Does anybody know if a decision has been made on what colors are going to be available for the RX-8?

I'm assuming the red and yellow, but what else???

Black would look mean on this car, imagine Black with the Black and red interior, drooooolll. Even the proposed rims are good enough to keep,they do look a little like the Altezza/IS300 rims though, but they fit the car so nicely. I will definitely by mine in black if available, if not its...its its... grrr....they better have black! LOL

I think red would be classic in terms of it looking like a race car, it would make the look of the car that much more aggressive, but silver (and I know EVERYONE has silver), would enhance the streamlined design of the car.

If you had a choice between the 2, what would you pick?

 

Someone please photoshop a chrome green Rx-8!! I don't have photoshop, hope mazda makes some green ones.

 

Yellow. NO! White. What was the middle one again? :D

Really though, silver would be my 3rd choice. That '99+ FD color is pretty nice too. What is it? Anniversary blue or Brave Blue Mica, or something like that? the 10th Anniversry Miatas had that color paint...

 

My first choice is definitely red of the pictures I've seen so far, although there is no better way to attract speeding tickets.

Maybe black as my second choice, depending on the interior, all black interiors are pretty boring.

 

I think it was electric blue mica, though I'm not 100% sure. Definitely my favorite color for an rx-7 and I think would look good on the '8 too.

if u have seen the other thread i think the orange is by far the best color so far all thou i did like that titanium gray think it would be sharp too

Just a Dark Gray in general would be great.

No Gunmetal though, a GMC factory color on a Mazda is just wrong man...

 

Perhaps 'FERRARI RED' would be in order...

 

I hope they have the color used on the RX-Evolv concept.

 

Pretty simple for me:

Silver, especially is the optional 18" rims are not polished contrary to the current show car.

If they only come polished, then I might go with black.

 

Have you seen Black-Chrome?

I normally DISPISE chrome, I HATE IT!!!!! But the Black-Chrome looks amazing, a little expensive, but amazing.

Seriously check it out, you might fall in love and still be able to keep all of your money at the end of the relationship...

I'm also a big fan of the black with chrome wheels. I would also like to see some nice chrome around the gauges, if something like that is possible.

 

The aftermarket hopefully will take care of the chrome rings around the gauges.

I also like black with chrome wheels but I live in the rainy northwest. Black is terrible to keep looking nice unless you live in the sunbelt and it does not rain a lot.

 

Either bright red or white. Not sure which yet.

My MR2 is Super Red, my Protege is Pure White, and I'm not sure what would suite the 8 more. Right now I'm liking the white as it doesn't "stand out" as much as red.

 

I agree, the black with the black/red interior would be killer.

 

im partial to white cars, but i;d want something that will complement the tail lights. . such as. black? but gotta watch out for those swirl marks.. :D but im sure that white would look just as nice.
whats that color that the new m3 was 1st shown as.. was it.. shadow chrome? chrome shadow?
