College Grad is a Mazda rebate on EVERY Mazda vehicle, and the dealer can't not honor it, it's not up to them. As long as Mazda makes the RX-8 eligible for the rebate (which every other Mazda made is), you get it. It's even valid on limited edition cars like the MazdaSPEED Protege, which until last month had no incentives on them. As far as the dealer is concerned it makes no difference whether he gives you the rebate or not -- the $500 comes from Mazda, and the dealer gets it back. Realistically it makes no sense for them not to honor it, since they make the same money either way.

I work for a Mazda dealer, incidentally, so if your dealer is telling you different he's either covering his *** because he doesn't know if the RX-8 is covered (which it may or not be, but as of now there's no reason to think it's not) or he's stupid. It nets out the same for him whether he gives you the rebate or not, provided the car is eligible.

For those unclear on the college grad rebate, see post below.

The RX-8 *DOES* apply. I have already verified this via MazdaUSA HQ.
