I made a thread about this a week ago and no one chipped in! Air is more dense so you have more oxygen molecules which gas needs to burn.

Stoichiometry:

at 1 atmosphere (sea level) and 1 liter with a temperature of 90 degrees celcius you have .034moles of oxygen

at those same parameters but with a temperature of 40 degrees celcius you get .039moles of oxygen.

Really not much of a difference...but if you live high altitudes your oxygen is even less dense.
how much will that small difference of O2 make in the combustion? By the way anyone know how many degrees does a CAI bring down the temperature? Oil companies added MBTE to gas to add oxygen to it....but it backfired on them. Why not just turbo charge every car?? by the way turbo=less CO2 because you car is burning the gas better, so turbo guys are somewhat being green.

 

This thread is funny, you guys won't even gain 1 whp from a 20F change in atmospheric temperature.

10-15% You're kidding me! You won't evven see a 1whp gain in a 40-50F temperature decrease!

And as for you easily chirping your tires, it's because the colder temperature makes the road surface colder and takes your tires a longer time for it to warm up therefore making your tires grip less.

I know when its under 100 my car drives/feeld dif than when its 117
