clicking sound from rear when cornering above 30mph

I just noticed this clicking sound from the rear of the car when I take an onramp or offramp at 30+mph. It is a steady click about 2 clicks per second coming from the rear of the car. It is very faint but is audible. anyone else get this sound or have any idea what it is.

Is it only when you're on an on/off ramp over 30mph? Or any time you are over 30 mph? It goes away after you take the corners?

If it's a hard corner and the back end wants to come around too quick, the DSC will apply the antilock brakes on the back outside wheel. Could that be it?

I think its the DSC applying the brakes, as Speed-ER said. Although, going on an on-ramp you shouldn't really hear that...I've heard serious brakage from the DSC taking a U at about 30...should have turned it off first. I was shocked, I was expecting to scoot around the turn, then I hear CLUNK, brakes apply.

I thinks its not the DSC cuz I heard it working when I took some curves at 65mph, DSC is a clunk clunck sound and you can feel the cluncks. This is just a tick tick tick sound and it happens on any turn that is taken at 30 mph and up. I would start to hear it when I would go into the turn with the center of steering wheel at 2 o clock and then hear it until I am out of the turn. The sound is like when you are tapping two nails together twice per second. It seems to be coming from the rear of the car. I am going to take out everything in the car and see if any of my books or clothing is the cause of this. My car is going to be in the shop this week for the lights dimming when the AC/engine fan turns on and off, I'll have them check the wheels for proper fit.

Just did a few more runs and corners on the onramps tonight and found out that the ticking sound that was coming from the rear of the car ONLY happens when I am on the gas as I corner. If I let go of the gas then the tick noise is gone. It seems to get louder as the car gets faster in the turns. Will have the car in the shop tomm so hope they can tell me whats going on.

HOLT SH#T!

my 8's in the shop for that very reason, I thought it was a bearing somewhere that was going bad, ...whats funny is, this is the 3rd time it's in for that SAME thing. Seems like they can't fix it.

I have the same issue, but its not at 30mph, it is about 10-15mph when taking a wide-ish turn... but it only happens at the 1st few turns in the morning, after the car has been warmed up it goes away. This noise just started like in the past month or so, i think it may be the problem discussed in tsb. Off to the dealer i go and get the M flash whilst i'm at it.

Car was in shop early Friday morning and at about 3pm yesterday, got a call from the Serv Cons. told me car needed to be in for the weekend and maybe most of next week. I asked did the techs find out whats going on and he said, as of the moment they dont know what is causing it. This dont look too good.
