I doubt anyone has or will be pulled over for something like this (unless you are using blue lights or something). But technically it's illegal. I have clears. I will not comply!

There needs to be an amber corner light, plus an amber REFLECTOR. Clear corners don't reflect amber. You can put amber bulbs in them all day long and it won't make them "legal". Many new cars have clear lenses for turn signals and corner lights, this is true, but if you look, they all come with an amber reflector somewhere. Sometimes it's integrated into the headlight housing (most common), sometime it's not a light, but just a reflector on the bumper (some BMWs) and sometimes it's a stand alone light+reflector (like the RX-8, Porsches, etc). This is a Federal regulation for vehicles to be sold in the US.

Don't clear corners come with a reflector in them? When i read the diy it says to take it out to look better like i did haha, but it had some sort of reflector in there.

No, there is a small silver reflector in the OEM clear corners because outside the US the corner light is a turn signal ONLY (it is not on all the time when the headlights are on like our corner marker). This fills the role of the "side repleater" that is required in most other countries (and most other countries don't require an amber reflector). The little reflector just reflects light from the bulb back along the car so it's easier to see by cars driving beside you.

The required amber reflector is a lense type reflector, the whole lense reflects light back. Look at a pic of an RX-8 with amber corners that's been taken with a flash and you'll see what I mean.

Hit your brakes three times.
Start your car, move exactly three meters.
Turn off your car and pull the hand brake 20 times.
Shift in this patern without pressing on the clutch: 1, 3, 2, 4, 5, R, 6
Start your car again and shut it off.
You have to do all this within 15 seconds.

If you did it right, your corners will turn clear.

I tried this but i can't notice any difference. I think i lost count during the handbrake pulls. I'm gonna try again tonight.
thanks!
