Chirp/squeal during engine revving
I don't get this all the time and it seems to happen during warm up from a cold start, but when i start to drive off and i rev the engine i get this occasional squeal sort of like a belt squeal. I did some searching and youtube listening and found other chirp/squeal noises but none of them are similar to my issue. I have a hunch it's either a worn out belt or loose belt thats squealing when cold and i rev too much and it slips.
I just found myself reading some old threads that were talking about detonation and chirping from bad coil packs so i thought i'd try to get a better opinion. I replaced my coils when i bought the car last year and have only put tops maybe a few thousand on them. The noise is only on heavy high rpm revving and eventually stops doing it.

^^ Truth. Belts. It's as simple as that. When belts get old(er) the rubber deteriorates and gets hard and starts to crack.
When you start the car those cold belts are hard and brittle causing them to slip and squeal. As you drive friction will naturally heat the belts and they'll slip less and wont squeal.
Of course, If you ignore it those hardened, brittle belts will snap eventually and then your squealing problem will solve itself.

That day did not end well. They were in decent condition so now I change them every couple of years regardless.

I just checked out the belts and they arent new but they arent cracked or brittle looking either. For the cost ill swap them anyway though. Thanks for clearing up it cant be anything more serious.
