Check engine lights diagnosis and HELP please

Kyle here, I drive a 2004 rx8 and the check engine light came on. I got my buddy to use the diagnostic tool at his mr.lube and the reading came back P0037 H025 Heater Control Circuit Low(bank 1, sensor 2). I googled the result and it came up as some heated oxygen sensor, but it was hard to really tell what it was for. What is it that I'm looking to fix and it, and its it something I could order and fix myself?

If it is a P0037 it is the rear O2 sensor....the cheaper one, about $120.00 I think.
Check the forum vendors section and then the DIY section on how to do it.
When you get under there and check it, make sure the wires aren't toasted as well!

It's the O2 sensor plugged in to your cat. converter. This can get crunched as it is the lowest point on the car.

Ok just about there, One more question.

Thanks for the advice, I've now ordered the rear O2 sensor and picked up the sensor socket tool. I hope to be able to do the install myself, as you guys described the back sensor as accessible and the DIY as simple. My last question is concerning the check engine light after the install. Will the light turn off on it's own, or will I need to reset it somehow?

Thanks Kyle

it will after some cycles, but you can just disconnect the battery to reset it.
