No, just now getting into cars and such. But I have seen my bro change spark plugs didn't seem complicated at all. Just have to have the right tools. But videos make me feel 100% comfortable. I'm more of a visual learner. If anybody would make a video and pro tips that would help! Get enough views on your video and make money off of it. just a "fyi"

Think there is one, did you go to the DIY sub-forum and do a search?

It should be very simple. I've done it in other types of cars, but haven't done it in the RX-8 since I just bought it basically.

I imagine it should be simple with these cars as well.

There are only two real differences from one car to another. One is whether the plugs have a crush washer or not. The other is whether the plugs are out in the open or if you have to do some gymnastics to get at them. The DIY here goes through the gymnastics part for the 8.

Bomba - if you're not comfortable doing this kind of stuff just from writeups like the spark plug DIY, consider taking an adult education auto repair class.

You need to learn to do it yourself, it's not that bad really.

You think that's bad, if you run around with a flashing CEL(Misfire code) and or weak coils, the next thing to go will be your CAT(most likely). Go check out that price. If your over 80k miles or 8 years then you can expect about $1600.00 plus labor. Feel better?????

I learn faster by watching video myself, it's just how i am. It's like watching youtube videos on do it yourself instructions.

glad to hear everything is ok now. I don't think it was that bad after wall. Car repairs can be costly regardless of what it is. always good to keep a few hundred $$$ saved for car repairs.

Enjoy!
