Check e light midpipe?

Ok so i have my midpipe in today and the check e light came on. now i know it will come on, but when i go wot the engine light blinks, is that normal?? the car runs fine but the engine light will blink when i accelerate hard w/ it.

No, blinking indicates a problem. Pull the code, you probably have a misfire.

Possibly your ingition coils are on the way out. Search for "misfire", it will come up with a bunch of results

ok well ill pull the code tom. but the car runs very well no idle prob. and accelerates really good. but like i say it blinks when i get on it... is missfire bad w/ the 8?? not to sound newbi but im not for sure what you mean like a spark plug is bad or what

oh ok well in that case , i orderd mazsport ignition about a week and a half ago so im good. but would my midpipe cause it to missfire b/c it didnt befor i put it on. just right after it was installed it started to blink

Just saw your other thread and noticed you installed a new crank pulley. That is more than likely the culprit here.

Did you reset your eccentric shaft profile?

Tap the brake pedal 21 times as fast as you can and punch a midget in the face. The oil pressure gauge will sweep and that will reset your e-shaft profile sensor.

ok i got you never heard it called that but its more like 8 times w/ in a few seconds but ok thanks. imma do that and unplug the bat for awhile

What Chickenwafer ment to say was turn your key to the on position then hold the trip reset button and pump the brake pedle as fast as you can till the oil pressure gauge sweeps to the middle. Then your good

hey guys just an update reset the ecu and did the brake tap. and everything works great no check engine no blinking. thanks guys!!
