TX Castrol Edge Titanium

I was wondering if anyone uses Castrol Edge with Titanium Technology, I want to know if anything in this oil will harm my engine. Thoughts?

IDK but Castrol gives a 500k Mile warranty on engines that use this oil, however I am sure its a limited warranty

Just pick an oil and change it regularly. Most brand name oils are decent. Remember, when you do a change you are getting less than half of your oil out so changing it frequently is the key.

I only use 5W-20 castrol GTX conventional oil. No problem so far.

I bet if you asked about that warranty they will say that rotary engines aren't covered. I remember people have had similar responses to those kinds of warranties.

On their site for the engine warranty it says this.

1. It's not a competition.

If your vehicle has been modified, soup'd up, or changed significantly for participation in competitions, races or demolition derbies, sorry — your vehicle cannot be covered.
That would take pretty much anyone here out of the running for the warranty even if they did cover our engine. The site only says it does not cover diesels. It seems like their definition there is made to fit any car that has any type of modification to it, they don't even specifically mention engine modification.

I use the Castrol GTX, but I premix with Lucas semi-synthetic 2-cycle oil. Engine runs real smooth and the semi-synthetic 2-cycle oil is extremely low on ash, so spark plugs are really good shape. I pull them and check them every oil change. But that's just my experiance. I know every car acts differently to different conditions.

I use Royal Purple 5W30 and their gear oil as well. The 5W30 is an Ashless synthetic and shouldn't cause any problems. I even checked with RP tech line and they stand buy their product even in Rotaries. I know we use oil in these engines but I am willing to pay for the added security. Been using RP oils for years and haven't found any thing else like it. IMO

If you do go synthetic make sure it is an ashless burn or many problems can occur I've been told.
