Anyone have an unlimited carfax account and willing to run one for me on an RX8?

Carfax does not have unlimited accounts any more, at least for normal people. It is 1 report for $35 or 5 reports for $45. You should be able to afford paying $35 for a report(or better yet $45 so you can check 4 other cars) if your about to purchase a 10k+ car.

That's exactly what I did when I was looking for an RX-8 to buy. I bought the 5 reports for $45 and certainly used all of them, LOL.

But if you are serious about buying one, you bet the dealer will run the carfax for you. Ask them to do so!!

I can certainly afford the carfax. I haven't owned a car for nearly 5 years, and haven't bought one in 7. Last time around the unlimited accounts were plentiful and a simple forum post scored free reports. Why pay if I don't have to, right? Good to know that's no longer the case.

I know what you mean, there was a time when people always had an unlimited account and would help out anyone who asked. I think carfax caught on to that and decided it was really hurting their business.

Your only other option is finding someone with a http://www.autocheck.com/ unlimited account, but I think most people just stick with carfax.
