I concur...repairing will end up costing you more than a second hand one.
Theres also no guarantee after spending those dollars it will pass roadworthy inspection.
If you research hard enough you'll find a car that will suit your needs, and at a good price.

Please listen to these guys before you get yourself into a car that is unsafe....forget the money difference.. I was hit in the side like that.....just barely tapped between the doors and it cost almost 2300.00 to replace 2 doors, the locking mechanism that holds the doors closed together, a B pillar Plaque ($150) paint and labor. You have significantly more damage than I did ok. These guys are being honest with you......Keep looking. Remember the old saying..."you get what you pay for".....There's no good deal in this....Besides.....If you get hit again, or have a passenger there when/if it gets hit, Forget the airbag deployment....They will be trapped. Luckily for me I had no passenger..but if I had it would have been a scary situation.
This is all the damage done to the exterior ok....Your's is in a LOT worse shape.

I'm not sure what I want to do right now. I found a junkyard that has both rear and front doors for $1000 for the set. But I'll wait and see the rest of the pictures.

Not Sure?
Not sure what to do?
You came asking for advice, but it sounds like you are already married to the idea of buying that car. I don't think a single person said buy it, I saw severeal thoughtful qualified responses with thorough explanations. You better do some more homework on what the actual repairs are going to cost and not take "the guy trying to sell the wreck" 's word for it.
If you buy that wreck then come back looking for sympathy when the repairs put you in the poorhouse, well...... God luck with your adventure.

The only reason why I was considering this car was I can probably get it for $7,000. My dad's freind is a cab company owner, and they do repairs there. He can easily fix the hood, bumper, and frame. I have found some of the parts used. Both doors = $1200 w/ B Pillar, Fender = 180(new), Windshield = 300(new), Front knee assembly= $550.
I'm not considering anything yet. I'm doing my homework of what parts I may or may not need. I am still waiting on the pictures. If there are hidden things, then I will not buy it.

Hi,
I'm new to the forums, and I found a used rx8 for sale. It is a 2005 Mazda RX8 GT with 18k miles with leather interior. As you can see it has damage on the passenger side.
Heres a picture.
I found a used silver colored passenger side door from a junkyard for $850. All I need to buy is a passenger side fender, and maybe few other minor things.
Let me know,
Moe

I bought one in March for $16,400 with 21k miles. I could see someone getting one under $15k easy now. This is another thread though...

I say buy it and part it out you got plenty of peeps on here that will buy all the **** off the car its rare to find one wreck up 75% in good shape. Or i would just go search for a used one with not so extensive damage for about what your going to have to pay pulling the frame and getting the parts, and from my experience on body work after a major accident the car never drives the same no matter who fixes it. Forget the homework go find a guy that does body work and pay him to give you a estimate on fixing the car , he will let you know if its worth it or not or if your going to have problems later. Doing it on your own wont help at all unless you know something about extensive frame\body repair.
