Car and Driver - RX8 WINS!!!!!
as i had suspected, the RX8 only had 835 miles on the odometer (per C&D's posted data sheet). In C&D's long term tester, the car ran about a 15 sec quarter mile when brand new and then ran a 14.6 after 20,000 miles.
...too bad they weren't supplied a broken in car to run

The article to me is a decathalon test so to speak. Overall the 8 sqeaks out the rating but not in the event most people care about. Lane changing, braking, street driving all important, just not important to most drivers.

I just read the article and have to say congrats to the RX-8. As others have stated what really suprised me was the new TT. The new TT's weight, straight line speed, handling/road course times, and breaking is damn impressive. I was expecting it to be a glorified GTI. I would like to see what a chipped TT could do.
Depends on the person. Great handling with a nice ride are high on many people
s lists.
