car at dealer

My car shakes horribly in drive and reverse. I think it may be a motor mount issue.
Anyone have this occur?

Could be motor mount/brackt. U-Joint or differential is also possible. If the diff is out of fluid or has the wrong fluid the car will shutter. Any signs of leakage?

Mike, I've been having the same problem... is this just an AT issue? Shaking at idling and reverse.

I was told it's the motor mounts as well. I mostly hear mine if I'm stopped in Drive and the AC compressor kicks in....it's terrible then.

A local owner here had the same problem. He took it to a dealership (not known for great service) and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. He took it to another and they said the damper that the engine mounts sit on were cracking and worn away.

Heard Anaheim Mazda doesn't care how modded your car is... try there Mike.

this is nuts
hb mazda called me and said it is the motor mounts but the parts are on nation wide back order.
they have told me to come get my car and they will call when the parts come in and they dont know when that will be.
also they want to charge me 20.00 since it was difficult for them to put my lowered car on their rack to check it out

WTF

Mike, face the guy real slowly and repeat the following words exactly, "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

After hearing that I think they will skip the $20 charge..

"countless"??? I guess that's true if you haven't counted them. There have been some reports of failed motor mounts here on the forum, but countless?? The sky is not falling.

Holy Crap Mike, that's ridiculous!

The Service Manager @ HB is a pretty reasonable guy (can't remember his name) I'm sure you can talk to him.

If not, just tell him where he can stick his $20.

I'd call MNAO about that motor mount back order...sounds pretty weird.

Alhambra Mazda also refused to service my car (for warranty work no less) because my sideskirts were too low to clear their lifts. I guess it takes too much time to get a jack under the car before they set it under the lift pads. The service manager there also told me there would be an extra labour charge (like half an hour's worth) to get it onto the lift this way.

PA- I just had the car in for this....the "friendly, knowdlegable" service guy said motor mounts and i heard the same back order story. I am more worried about potential long term effects of the bum mounts and are their after market mounts available ?

ok so my car is at the dealer and the motor mounts are in stock
however, now they want 38 bucks instead of 20 to lift the car since its lowered with the mazdaspeed kit

no way

you should ask them why 20? why not 10 or even 5? is it written somewhere in that raising a lowered car to check it out costs 20? if they cant come up with it, tell them to shove it.
