Car battery
I just bought a brand new Yellow Top optima battery a couple of weeks ago due to my previous one being drained and not starting the car. This morning my bro tells me i left my dome light (LED) on. So the dome light has been on for a good 12 hours and i come out and its still on.
Now im worried itll affect the cars starting abilities again. I mean it obviously didnt drain the battery. Will this affect how the car starts in the future considering its a brand new battery ? Also im not too good with batteries but will this have reduced the batterys life span by much ??

Only if there was an issue with your alternator or some sort of external drain to begin with.
I'm not sure for car batteries, but certain battery types actually benefit from being fully cycled.

I dont think that it will affect your car's starting performance.
Also, A yellowtop battery is a deep-cycle battery which means that draining it does less harm than to a normal battery. It is more charging-friendly.
I bought a yellowtop because the store that i went to was out of redtops. I really like the one I got but unfortunately I had to do my own system to make it stationary. I dont remember 100% but I think that there is no fitting size for the 8 for the yellowtops, like that it doesnt fit perfectly. I deffinitely had to make my own system to make it work. But its a great battery, and I feel confident having this one for winter.

I'm using a D35 Yellow Top because of the large amplifier powering my subwoofers and because my car is not a daily driver, I like the deep cycle.
For more user, the Red Top is a better fit due to the higher CCA.

Yeah I have the yellowtop too because I thought I was going to do more with the audio and because I was a bit ignorant of the difference between the 2 when I bought it. But unfortunately I can tell that the cranking power is a bit lacking.
Ill see what I can do about picking up a red top
