Can your 8 fly?
Its probably the most stupid thing I have done, but it sure was fun. I went airborne for a moment after going 50 mph off of a road with many steep hills. I was used to going 60 mph on my old rav4 over the same hill and never left the ground but I think I pushed it to the limit with the my 8. For that second which felt like 3 sec I thought I was 2 feet off the ground. The car is fine, I am fine and I don't want to try it again. No haters please.

I saw pgrothes video
I saw pgrothes video. That's exactly what I don't want happening to me. But the hump that I jumped over has to be around 6 ft raise.

I was reading a magazine a couple of years back that had photos of a Lotus Elan in a classic sports car race. The guy driving it went through a section of track speced for 50MPH at about 80. There was this great photo of two guys sitting on a wall above the track picking their feet up to let the Elan fly under them. It was about 8 feet off the ground. Turn the page, and there is this Lotus Elan broken in half, with the front clip 90 degrees to the back of the car and driver standing there scratching his head looking at it.
I've never gotten the 8 airborne. Doubt if I ever will. Has to have been a pretty cool experience though, although I would have my heart in my throat.

Slow down before you crash.
Go do a couple of Auto cross es to get the sunk out of you.
I see accidents and tickects in your future.
Better to have fun for a few bucks at Auto X and keep your license and insurance.

I didn't expect I was going to catch air.
I don't drift, I cant go 0-60 in under 8 sec, I have never gotten a speeding ticket after 200,000 miles of driving my previous Rav4. But I can say that if you experience what I did, you will feel a different type of zoom. I wasn't too sure that the car was going to come off the ground. Let me remind you, I'm not hopping over that hill on a regular basis.
I'm beginning to feel good about my AT. Its fast enough. I don't race. I do a lot of city urban driving. The only upgrade I have in mind are Bisltein shocks. But before I changed them (at around 50k miles) I just might try it again. LOL
