One of the things I love about this car is that there aren't too many on the road (unlike a certain Nissan 350)... and I'm in LA where cars abound. So every time I see another RX8, it catches my eye. I'll do a little friendly following, a little pulling up to the side, and the same has been done to me by other 8's. I've noticed, however, that this seems very much to be a guy's car. I've only seen one female driver (a blonde surfer chick, USC alum in a loaded Shinka)... She didn't want to race.

 

In Socal I see plenty of women in 8's.

 

Oh they're an elusive lot then.

 

I'm a female 8 driver. I think we should all get together at my place for a sleepover and pillow fight.

It's very much a lady's car here in the Dallas area.

 

Don't see many 8s on the road at all, let alone females driving them.

since all the smart guy's are in here someone please tell me what that noise is that when my 8 is idle'ing I take off the clutch and I hear noise but goes away when I deprees the clutch again? dealer say's it's normal but the RX-8 gang here say's theirs doesn't do it.

 

It's the throwout bearing, 'tis normal.

Hm. I had no idea i was embracing my feminine nurturing side with this car.

 

The last 3 RX-8s I saw were driven by females. In fact close to 50% I've seen were driven by women.

(Im sure I'll get flamed for this but it is the gospel truth)........

Perhaps I don't see the female 8 drivers because I can't get my vision past the fact that there is yet another car in the fast lane driving slowly (or erratically)..........till I finally get around them and see a woman yakking on her cell phone.........))

 

I'm surprised that I see so many women driving the rx-8 and I actually see more women driving it than guys.

 

But fellas, can we really call a Automatic RX-8, an RX-8?

 

I get really tired of people who don't think the RX-8 is an RX-8 with an AT trans.

There are quite a few girls who drive 8's around here.
Quite a few of us do our own maintenance and mods as well.
We're just not the "hii'manrx8girlieattentionwhore" type.
