A/C amplifier backordered
A/C amplifier backordered
Had my 8 in for recalls work, oil change, rotation, reflash, and to fix the a/c amp. I was told that the part is on national backorder. Anyone else run into this? I haven't seen anything on here about it.
Just when to Rosenthal's site and answered my own question.

Mine came in last week. I think they had about 95 when they ordered it. I am going to get it install in a week since I don't want to have to drive through heavy week day traffic to put it in.
yea i took mine in for the "M" flash and the a/c amplifier and they said no problem but when i picked it up the said they flashed to "M" but the a/c was working correctly. could it be they didn't have the part? hmmm
I just got my flash and A/C amp done today. They had to special order the amp because they didn't have it in stock but it only took a week to get it. They did give me a hard time about getting the flash done because I simply asked for the flash upgrade. The mechanic stated unless i had the problem that was outlined in the bulletin they it wasn't neccessary.....so I told him then that is the problem I am having.....
My milelege hasn't improved a great deal( I was getting about 250-260 per tank average mostly highway) but the car does feel like it has more pep to it.

I went last week to have the AC fixed and the M flash done. They did the M flash, but the AC Amp was backordered and they had no idea when it would come in. I have the warm/cold/warm cycling problem with my AC. Does the new Amp fix this? It's supposed to, but I would like to there from someone who has had it done. My AC does not keep the car cool at all, with the sun out, I doubt it will get below 80 in the car and the outside temp is in the low 80's.

My amp is in (only took them 4 days to get it in). I am waiting for my new tires, glove box damper and center console piece to arrive so it all can be done at the same time (sick of seeing my dealership).

I don't think I am going to bother with the "M" flash since I already have the "L".

Quoted July 5 for my a/c amp part, also told that it was on "national backorder." Because it didn't come in, they comp'ed my oil change, which was nice. Also, no hassle getting reflash. "We're happy to do it for you!"
Reflash counts as warranty. I'm sure they're happy, because they get 0.3 hours labor reimbursed from Mazda from something that probably took 5 minutes. Still nice of them to do it no questions asked; mine was the same and I appreciated it.
