Unhappy Bye Bye RX-8 Club... I will miss you dearly

A month ago, I traded in my 05 titanium gray GT RX-8 and bought out the lease on my brother's 05 red Audi S4, which is now my car. This was not an easy decision - though the S4 far outperforms the RX-8, there are soooo many things I will miss about my mazda. The main few are the mods I did on it (specifically my custom fiberglass sub box), the steering wheel controls for the audio (stupid audi people streamlined the 05 model's wheel for looks, and it's no longer multifunction), and of course, the very tight and responsive chassis that is so characteristic of the RX-8.

More importantly though, I will miss you all. From the first day I found this site, i was AMAZED at what a robust and supportive community there was for such a rare car. I don't know how you all did it, but I'm of the firm opinion that this is the best forum dedicated to any one car out there. You have all been sooo helpful and kind to me through my RX-8 adventures, and it pains me to leave you. So, thank you all so very much for everything, i've truly appreciated it.

I hope you all continue to enjoy your cars and the forum for as long as you are a member of the community...

P.S. - I'll try to stay a member of the board though, and still help out others with my experiences when i can. if anyone wants to respond with any questions/comments/concerns/verbal thrashings/advice/ideas, feel free.

P.P.S. - specific thanks go out to MilkTea0509, Paul at Mazmart, Paul in DC, WikkedOne, and jstkilntim. in one way or another, each of you has helped me out enormously and made the community a better place

Easy on the German comments.

I'm still new here but I wish you luck. You are actually embarking on a whole new fun and exciting adventure. The VW / Audi community is absolutely awesome. I was a member for many many years. They will take care of you as long as you are polite, show some respect, and learn about your car.

For everything you will ever need for your Audi forum fix check out:
www.vwvortex.com

That place is the central hub of all that is VW (Audi is VW). Get in good with your local VW / Audi club, and you are set for life.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes. The S4 is an awesome car.

Just because you no longer drive an 8 doesn't mean you have to be a stranger!

Good luck with the new car though. Grats!

Congrats on the S4. That's a bad to the bone aluminum v8 crammed in there. Stay lurking on the site. You never know when you might come back to the dark side.

hahaha german engineering. i disagree though - i had more problems with my mazda in a year than i had with both of my audis for a combined total of 10 years. and the mazda dealers were a pain in the asssss to work with.

the S4 is a sick car, i know, but none of the communities are nearly as built out and developed as this one... instead of one, main, huge forum, there's like 8 different, unorganized, undedicated small ones...
