I have already searched and read a bit about RX8's but I figured each of these topics are unique since different miles/year/etc. so I'll ask anyway.

It's a 2004 with 20k miles on a rebuilt engine and has been garaged in winter. Manual with leather seats so I'm assuming it's touring. That's all the info the guy posted on Craigslist. I plan to call him in the morning and ask about how many miles chassis has and for the VIN.

So for as of now for 9k$ think I should perhaps go check it out in person and maybe even get it?

Ask if he has the history, so you will know what has been done and what needs to be done. Spark plugs, coils, wires, clutch and pressure plate when the engine was replaced...all that stuff....and more.
